PhillyXR is built to make Philadelphia's monuments more accessible through web-based augmented reality, giving anyone the ability to place iconic landmarks in their own environment, capture a photo, and share a moment with the city without waiting in long on-site lines.
PhillyXR was created by Terry Kilby, who recently relocated back to Philadelphia after building a successful career in Baltimore as a creative leader across aerial photography, software development, and immersive interactive art; this project brings those disciplines together into a cultural technology platform rooted in place.
